The subject of this mixed-media piece is a Geisha, a highly trained entertainer—engaging in a traditional dance during the renowned Miyako Odori spring festival, against a backdrop of bamboo. I intend to depict a Geisha’s unique beauty, grace and discipline whilst highlighting the richness of the flowing kimono and the accessory fans. The air given off is quiet, yet regal.
I am a visual artist and an architect student based in Norway. Making art not only helps me pursue my passion and hobby, but it also gives me a distinct way to help and support society and global causes in my own small way. My newer pieces study the essence of architectural buildings and landscapes from around the world. They are also a reflection of the international exposures I have had living in Norway and studying in the Netherlands.
